About Us

We are parents (to 2 humans, 1 dog, and 2 cats) who want safety for them all. We want a simple yet beautiful home that we can invite others into so they and our family feel welcome and comfortable and cozy. We want to spend the least amount of time worrying and stressing so we can enjoy our family more and spend more time doing what we love (gardening, making and enjoying good food and drinks, spending time with family and friends). 

We were sick of using gross plastic gates that ruined our walls, we were always tripping over, the dog could push over, and were just plain ugly. We wanted a gate that WORKED and was also beautiful and fitting to the style of our home. Adam, who spent his whole life working with his hands, designed a gate upon the request of Meghan, to fix this problem! 

We love a simple yet timeless design to our home. Our shelves we make are beautiful themselves yet don’t distract from the important things on them, like pictures of our family and greenery to help us feel calm.
